Clubhouse now available on Android for Aussies

Clubhouse is available today, 14 May 2021, for Australian Android users.

The announcement:

Following news this week of Clubhouse rolling out on Android in the U.S., Clubhouse is today available to Australian Android users on the Google Play Store.

Clubhouse is a new type of social network based on voice – where people around the world come together to talk, listen and learn from each other in real-time. When you open the app you can see ‘rooms’ full of people talking – all open so you can hop in and out, exploring different conversations.

Australian Android users are now able to join the 10 million users on Clubhouse, where an average of 300,000 rooms are created every day! The social media network has a high retention rates of users, and an average users spends more than an hour a day using Clubhouse.

Those in Australia can now download the app directly from the Google Play App Store. To join Clubhouse, anyone can sign up on the waitlist (and reserve their username) or skip the waitlist by getting an invite from a current user.
