Columbus retains Officeworks’ digital and performance marketing account

Columbus, a Merkle Company, has extended its 12-year relationship with Officeworks by retaining its digital strategy and performance marketing account.

The agency will continue to manage Officeworks’ digital strategy, paid search and programmatic marketing, content and social media capabilities.

The re-appointment solidifies a 12-year relationship between the agency and client

Columbus first won the account in 2006, with the agency now looking to add more value, brand insights and digital outcomes for the retailer.

Simon Davenport, the national advertising and communications manager at Columbus, said in a statement: “We’re excited to continue our long-standing relationship with Columbus, who have helped push us forward as a brand over the years and contributed to real business results.

“As a collective, we know we can keep getting better every day at our digital execution, and look forward to making bigger things happen together for our customers again in 2019 and beyond.”

Mitchell McBeath, the national managing director at Officeworks, added: “Our agency has evolved in capability and Officeworks has partnered with us on this journey over many years – they have seen the bridge between brand and performance shorten and understand the consumer full funnel journey.”

The appointment comes four months after Officeworks re-appointed Initiative to its media account.
