Comedian Paul Verhoeven stars as ‘Your Dick’ in Smiling Dick launch campaign

Australian broadcaster and comedian, Paul Verhoeven, stars as ‘Your Dick Richard’ in an InnovaDerma campaign to launch a male climax control training program, Smiling Dick.

Created by B.B.E, the launch video features Verhoeven acting as ‘Your Dick’ while using an eggplant to demonstrate to viewers how the new ‘Smiling Dick’ tool works.

InnovaDerma has also launched a website, smilingdick.com, which hosts a range of written and video content with information on premature ejaculation and education on men’s sexual health.

The campaign uses an eggplant to avoid the strict advertising restrictions in relation to sexual health and related products.

Adam Beaupeurt, strategy director at B.B.E, said the category has used fear as a marketing strategy for too long.

“In the process of selling ‘solutions’, this tactic has only served to further alienate those affected. In launching Prolong, we had an opportunity to reshape a conversation that we felt was in desperate need of change. Beyond clinical sufferers, research showed that the majority of men want more control over how long they last, but have been too embarrassed or proud to talk about it.

“We hope that through Smiling Dick and its coordinated global PR campaign, we can encourage a more progressive dialogue, empowering all men and their partners to seek support without shame or embarrassment.”
