Comedian Urzila Carlson announces ‘On The Steps’ show at Sydney Opera House
Urzila Carlson will perform an encore show at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on December 13, following the success of her ICC Sydney Theatre show for her ‘You Don’t Say’ Tour.

One of Australia and New Zealand’s biggest comedy stars Urzila Carlson, is following her sold out ICC Sydney Theatre show on the highly successful ‘You Don’t Say’ Tour, with an encore show for On The Steps at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on Saturday December 13.
Iconic locations don’t get more impressive than the Sydney Opera House, and after a massive year touring Australia with multiple sold-out shows, Urzila is returning to Sydney for one night of comedy ‘On The Steps’ – the first comedian to have performed in this most famous of venues during the past ten years.
Urzila said, “Growing up in South Africa I knew very little about the outside world except for the basics, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty and the Opera House in Sydney! The fact that I get to perform at one of those is one of the most iconic unreal feelings.”
Tickets for the Sydney Opera House show go on sale to the public on Wednesday, 7 May, at 2pm.

Urzila recently finished a run of shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, where she was awarded the People’s Choice Award for the most popular show of the Festival. Performing an incredible 10 shows at the Palais Theatre, it’s the fourth time Urzila has won the People’s Choice Award.
The ‘You Don’t Say’ Tour will continue throughout July and August, heading to Adelaide on July 25, before taking in Brisbane, Toowoomba, Newcastle, Sydney (ICC Sydney Theatre), Canberra and Perth, then culminating in the encore show at the Sydney Opera House on December 13.
2025 started with a bang for Urzila, starring in the NETFLIX rom-com ‘Kinda Pregnant’, alongside Amy Schumer and Wil Forte, and produced by Adam Sandler.
‘Kinda Pregnant’ was viewed 25.1 million times in its first week, making it the most-watched title on Netflix from Feb. 3 to Feb. 10 and the number 1 movie globally.
In 2025, Urzila will be doing her first national tour of the USA and her biggest tour of the UK.
