CommBank launches sci-fi style campaign to promote 24/7 fraud monitoring

Commonwealth Bank has launched a new campaign demonstrating the bank’s credentials in protecting customers against fraud.

The Blade Runner style ad takes place in a city resembling a microchip, where fraudulent activity is targeted by flying vehicles in glowing data streams.

The ad seeks to promote CommBank’s 24/7 security monitoring and technology.

The campaign was created by M&C Saatchi, who has been Commonwealth Bank’s creative agency of record since 2012.

CommBank CMO Monique Macleod, said in a statement: “In an increasingly digital world, fraudulent activity poses an ever-present risk. With this campaign, we wanted to reassure Australians that when it comes to their account security, we’ve got them covered.”

M&C Saatchi group creative director, Andy Flemming, said: “The CommBank fraud teams are highly motivated and seriously impressive. We wrote the spot after meeting them and hope they’re as happy with it as we are. Daniel Askill, ALT and Rumble pulled out the stops and crafted an incredible world right up until the final moments. I’m still geeking out, to be honest.”
