Concrete Playground adds ex-Vice staffers to commercial team
Concrete Playground has grown its commercial team with the addition of two new staffers – Susannah Reed as business development director and Teagan Winter as partnerships director.
Reed was previously business development director at Vice, while Winter was account director.
“This challenging time has brought out the best in Concrete Playground’s team, who have worked tirelessly to replace lost advertising revenue from the arts, entertainment, hospitality and travel industries by securing partnerships with brands like Tourism Australia, American Express, DoorDash, Square, BWS and Telstra,” said Fogarty.
“We are excited to introduce two highly skilled commercial hires to the team to help support our efforts to win and execute major partnerships as the economy recovers.”
Tahlia Phillips, commercial director of Concrete Playground, said Winter and Reed brought the skills the business needed to help it expand its offering.
“With five years experience in agency sales at Vice Australia and News Corp, Teagan brings a deep understanding of brand partnerships and of the programmatic landscape — which will be instrumental as Concrete Playground continues to build out this offering,” said Phillips.
“With extensive experience heading up new business development and special projects at companies like Vice, S&J Media and ASAP Worldwide, Susannah joins us in a new function within Concrete Playground, heading up large-scale direct partnerships targeting untapped segments of the market.”
Vice made a number of redundancies across both its Australian market, but also globally, in the last few months. It also closed its local creative agency, Virtue.
