Contiki asks adventurers to reflect on life-changing travel experiences in latest work
Contiki has unveiled a new campaign capturing the most memorable experiences people across the world have had through travel.
The ad, created by Contiki’s in house production and creatives in London, features interviews with people from across the globe, including Paul Scully-Power, Australia’s first astronaut, and the feats they have accomplished through travel, whether it be a world record, making it to space, learning a new passion or skill, or establishing an identity.
At the end of the ad, text appears, asking viewers: “What will you do this year that you will remember forever?”
As part of the campaign launch, Australian DJ Tigerlily and ex Big Brother contestant and Youtube star Jake Rich also feature in separate interview-style videos created by Virtual Connexion, speaking with their grandparents about travel and key moments in their lives.
Katrina Barry, managing director of Contiki Australia said travel was the perfect opportunity for young people to have new experiences “in one hit”.
“Where you go, what you do and who you do it with will all add up to create epic memories. The more out of your comfort-zone, the more likely they’ll last a lifetime,” Barry said.
The campaign will run across Youtube, Facebook and cinema until the end of February.
It’s a nice message but coming from the wrong company. Contiki is probably the worst way to travel. You stay in the same group of similar aged people with the same tour guide on a very tight schedule with minimal time to explore outside of the set activities.
