Corona opens ‘Casa Corona’ pop-up bar to kick off World Surfing League competition

Corona has created a pop-up Mexican-inspired beach bar ‘Casa Corona’ for the opening of the World Surfing League (WSL) competition season.

In collaboration with MC Creative, Casa Corona is located on the Gold Coast at Snapper Rocks and positioned directly in front of the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro surfing competition. The activation offers refreshments, Mexican food, and beer from 11am.

The bar opens to the public at 9am everyday and will offer a board hiring and borrowing service in collaboration with surfboard shapers Dead Kooks, Morning of the Earth Surfboards, Ben McTavish and Neal Purchase Jnr.

Andrew Vance, marketing manager for Corona Australia, said: “Casa Corona has raised the bar in terms of brand activation for Corona. It will no doubt become an iconic part of this event moving forward, and for the next 10 days surfing fans will have the opportunity to experience a live interpretation of our ‘From Where You’d Rather Be’ brand promise.”

Corona has also created a TVC to advertise its latest brand activation for WSL.
