Mediabrands search and social media agency Reprise Media has appointed Craig Ellis from dgm as chief executive – a move that sees David Fernandez exit the business.

Fernandez has been MD of Reprise since September 2009, when he joined the company from Outrider.

Ellis brings to an end a 7-year stint at dgm Australia, latterly as managing director. He joins mid November.

Henry Tajer, Mediabrands executive chairman, said:

Reprise Media was one of the first specific brands we launched in Mediabrands’ Australia expansion program. As we have progressed the business opportunities for Reprise are accelerating to an extent that we see no limit to the impact this business can have for our clients.

Reprise Media is poised for the next phase in its development as a search and performance-based business. It is already the industry’s fastest growing search and social media specialist and we are looking to Craig its new leader to capitalise on the opportunities that are clearly there for our clients.

Reprise has around 40 staff nationally, with key clients include the federal government, Hyundai, Kia and Target.
