Crater shines light on Canteen’s newest campaign ‘Harry’s Story’

Charity organisation Canteen has released its new campaign with Crater.

The announcement:

Canteen’s campaign centred around ambassador Harry Barnetson, who at 12 years of age had his pregnant mother diagnosed with Cancer, brings awareness to Canteen’s impact and support in one’s cancer journey. Canteen, set up by a group of young cancer patients in 1985, gives its ambassadors the opportunity to share their stories and a chance to pay it forward.

Crater enlisted Director Luna Laure to execute the last two campaigns for Canteen. “Working with Canteen has been extremely rewarding and humbling; being granted access to such personal stories is always a privilege, and one that I do not take lightly. Jess and Harry have amazed me, showing both vulnerability and strength on and off camera,” says Luna Laure.

Says Harry Barnetson “Working with Crater and Luna has been a truly eye-opening experience. It was heartfelt, considered and amazingly respectful of my voice and story. Their creativity and passion is the true heart of what they do best.”

On all projects, Luna evidently exudes in her passion of visual documentation along with drive to step it up a notch and elevate the brand. “Luna’s work with Canteen continually injects creativity and brand tone into their communication, resulting in real-life stories that captures the heart of the viewer,” says Crater Creative Director Simon Morehead.

Luna Laure says, “Recounting a story that has happened in the past can be challenging; this is where storytelling becomes so compelling: Harry was fantastic at evoking his experience in a very visual way that called for compassion.”

Says Maddison Murphy, Single Gifts Appeals Manager at Canteen “Whether it be fundraising or brand awareness, each time we’ve worked with Crater they have been able to provide varied creative approaches leading to engaging final products for our different target markets. The content has been successfully used to recruit new donors, encourage repeat gifts from existing donors and raise awareness of Canteen’s services to the wider community and the young people who need our support.

“Dealing with the sensitive stories of young people who’ve been through cancer can be tough, but Crater has always treated our ambassadors and their stories with respect and care. Over the years we’ve worked with their team, we’ve seen the level of delivery and results increase, not just with donations but positive feedback from our supporters.”

Crater continues to partner with Canteen to execute across creative, film and photography.
