Cricket Australia reappoints MKTG Sports + Entertainment

Cricket Australia has appointed MKTG Sports + Entertainment to supply and operate its in-stadia media for a further two years.

The partnership with the sports marketing agency extends more than two decades, solidifying MKTG’s position as the exclusive sales agent for all in-stadia media for men’s international cricket, and the supply and operation of stadia media infrastructure across the summer for International Cricket and the Men’s and Women’s BBL.

The partnership will also now extend to include create and content development.

Over the last 20 years, MKTG has delivered stadia media infrastructure for Cricket Australia across at least 17 venues nationally.

Commenting on the partnership extension, CA executive general manager, broadcasting and commercial, Stephanie Beltrame said: “We are thrilled to extend our long-standing partnership with MKTG Sports + Entertainment.

“Over the years, they have been instrumental in enhancing the fan experience during our cricketing events, helping us grow the value of our commercial assets and their expertise in media infrastructure and content development continues to be invaluable.”

MKTG Sports + Entertainment managing director Matt Connell added: “It’s an honour to continue our journey with Cricket Australia, a world-class organisation that we have called partner for over 20 years.

“This extension signifies the success of our past collaborations and opens new avenues for creative and innovative ventures. We look forward to further elevating the cricketing experience for fans across the nation.”

MKTG is part of the dentsu Sports International Network.  In 2021, the agency appointed former Cricket Australia executive, Michael da Costa-Alves, as general manager, commercial.
