Mamamia to stream Women’s Big Bash League after deal with Cricket Australia

The Women’s Big Bash League will be streamed live on Mamamia, Mumbrella can reveal.

Mamamia will carry a livestream and a highlights package of all 47 of this season’s matches while 12 games will be broadcast on Network Ten.

“I’m very excited about this partnership and the impact it will have on the WBBL,” said Cricket Australia’s head of digital, Finn Bradshaw. “By combining the talents of two of Australia’s most popular and innovative media brands – Cricket Australia Digital and Mamamia – we can take the WBBL to an even bigger audience than ever and inspire women of all ages and around the country to get involved with the sport.

“When you combine CA Digital’s knowledge of what cricket fans love and Mamamia’s proven ability to inform and entertain Australia women, this ground breaking partnership will ensure women’s cricket gets covered more extensively than any other sport.”

In addition to match coverage, Mamamia will also develop content to promote cricket to women and position the professional game as career choice for women.

“Mamamia are extraordinarily proud to be partnering with Cricket Australia to bring WBBL to live stream all 47 games across the Mamamia digital ecosystem, the number one digital platform for Australian women,” said Mamamia’s Head of Marketing & Product Tegan Gilchrist.

“The access to live stream WBBL games on Mamamia adds to the serendipitous context mix that engages more than 18 million women globally each month.

“Celebrating the successes, both on and off the field, of the stars of the WWBL is sure to delight Mamamia’s highly engaged audience across the approaching summer providing them with even more great content.”

Women’s Big Bash League matches will also be available on Cricket Australia’s free live stream.
