Cricut and Tourism Australia to release locally designed image set in Design Space app

The creative technology company, Cricut, has partnered with Tourism Australia to release a locally designed Aussie Animals from A to Z image set in Cricut’s creative app, Design Space.

The announcement:

Cricut, the creative technology company that has brought precision cutting machines to millions of households worldwide, has today announced an exciting new project with Australia’s national tourism body, Tourism Australia. The project will see a locally designed Aussie Animals from A to Z image set launch in Cricut’s creative app, Design Space, as an extension to Tourism Australia’s existing partnership with The Wiggles which aims to inspire tiny travellers to explore Australia.

Including iconic Australian animals such as quokkas and kangaroos, families will be able to use the new image set with their Cricut smart cutting machine. This will enable them to create things like unique educational memory games, personalised décor, vinyl decals to decorate the kid’s luggage, to personalise a travel journal, customise a keep cup with their favourite Aussie animal, and more.

The Aussie Animals from A to Z image set is available for download on Tourism Australia’s Wiggles-themed family hub on Australia.com/TheWiggles and is also available in the Cricut Design Space app. The app works in combination with Cricut’s range of smart cutting machines: such as the Cricut Maker 3, Cricut Explore 3 and Cricut Joy. The app includes thousands of images, ready-to-make projects, and fonts. It also allows users to design their very own project from scratch. Once the project has been designed in the app, choose your materials, load it into your machine and watch it cut, write, draw, score or add decorative effects of your choosing.

“Over the last few years while we haven’t been able to explore the world, many have turned to creative hobbies. We’re so excited to share this little slice of Australia with our global community of makers. For Aussie families, this might mean making some car decals with your favourite Aussie animal for an upcoming road trip, while international makers might consider making a memory game for the kids to have some fun and get excited for when they can soon travel to Australia”, said Nicola Dow-Smith, ANZ regional director at Cricut.

In addition to Cricut Design Space assets and use of Cricut cutting machines, Cricut and Tourism Australia will also work on a range of promotions, social media integrations and appearances that will continue to reinforce the shared values and this exciting new partnership. Stay tuned!
