Cudo jumps into NZ

NineMSN’s group buying site Cudo is to take its fight to New Zealand with the announcement of a joint venture with MediaWorks, the owner of TV networks TV3 and C4.

The site’s offers will also be promoted by sister company ACP NZ in the same way that ACP and the Nine netowrk helps it in Australia.

Cudo CEO Billy Tucker said: “Our JV with MediaWorks puts us in an enviable unique position to provide Cudo businesses with extensive marketing support, in addition to access to a significant audience.”

MediaWorks Group Managing Director, Sussan Turner, said: “With the power of TV3 and FOUR, plus our radio brands including The Edge, More FM, The Breeze, The Rock, RadioLIVE and Solid Gold along with our online offering, we believe the potential of this initiative to be significant.”

Rival site Spreets is among the group buying offerings already in NZ.
