Chef Curtis Stone fronts festive TV branded content push by Coles

The first of two Coles branded content TV programs will air tonight with the supermarket’s ambassador Curtis Stone fronting festive cooking specials.

The prime time shows have been put together by Coles in collaboration with Seven’s Red Engine TV, UM and Ensemble. The first will broadcast tonight at 8pm with the second going out on December 16, also at 8pm.

In the two-part special, Stone will demonstrate how to cook both classic and casual Christmas feasts, with fellow chef Karen Martini appearing in tonight’s program and Ben O’Donoghue featuring in the second episode.

Coles marketing and store development director Simon McDowell said the shows were a unique way for Coles to “spark some serious foodie inspiration for Aussie families”.

“At Coles, we love food and the festive season, so we’re excited to be able to show Australians how to make delicious quality meals for their families this Christmas without breaking the budget,” he said.

Ensemble chief executive Justin Ricketts said: “These are airing at a time that is truly relevant as people plan their family get-togethers. They are designed to both help people prepare their Christmas meals and also be excited about the forthcoming season.”

Ensemble, Seven and UM previously joined forces to produce ‘Style the Nation’,  a one-off branded content program for Target which saw British designer Gok Wan oversee the makeover of five Australian women.

Style the Nation drew an audience of 335,000 in September was considered one of the biggest branded content TV events in Australia.
