As part of his new role Rummery will be responsible for growing the agency in new markets, creating new relationships with clients and launching and overseeing business development projects.

Will Lavender, chairman of CX Lavender, said in a statement: “We’re going through an exciting period of growth and change at the agency, and Michael’s new role is crucial in helping us build on the momentum and expand our footprint into South Australia and Tasmania.

“He is a smart thinker and coming from a non-agency background, he brings a fresh perspective to building strong relationships.”

Rummery added: “CX Lavender’s ‘data heart’ and mission to create experiences that know, serve and delight customers was what attracted me to the agency.

“Everyone here is committed to the customer and to helping their clients achieve differentiation and advantage in the CX space. I can’t wait to help more clients realise the true potential of their business.”

In December last year, Anna Karena joined Lavender as chief creative officer.

Two months later, Roy Capon resigned as the CEO of the agency to relocate overseas.
