DAN boosts Queensland client list and adds Toby Shaw to iProspect team

Dentsu Aegis Network’s Queensland outpost has added the Real Estate Institute of Queensland and Lorna Jane to its client roster, and appointed Toby Shaw as the state’s director of data and analytics at iProspect.

Shaw joins  after a six month contract at Suncorp, and was previously at Mediabrands’ digital agency, Reprise, where he spent three and a half years leading the analytics team.

“Toby is an exceptional talent in the data and analytics field,” said Chris Ernst, managing director of DAN in Queensland.

“His experience in establishing enterprise level data and analytics frameworks will be a huge asset to our partners moving forward. And most importantly he’s a wonderful person, we’re thrilled to have him on board.”

Shaw started his career in London as a data scientist, and moved to Australia five years ago to begin work as a SEO and SEM specialist, before starting at Reprise in 2016. There, he developed and implemented data and analytics frameworks for clients like Bunnings, Target, and Myer.

“I’m delighted to be joining iProspect and the wider Dentsu team, and am excited to bring our market-leading data & analytics offering into the Queensland market,” he said.

“The industry is currently going through a period unlike anything we have experienced before, which means there is a need for data to show us exactly how the world is changing. I will be helping our clients use marketing science to understand how their customers are evolving, and what opportunities for growth and efficiency that provides.”

Shaw’s appointment follows the hiring of Cameron Law in June, who joined as strategy director at Carat in Queensland after more than seven years WPP’s Ikon.

“The appointments of Cameron and Toby highlights the focus on our investment in key talent in the market and will strengthen our ability to support clients strategically, from measurement, data and analytics, through to strategy and comms,” Ernst added.
