Dancing All Stars winner reveal watched by 827,000 metro viewers

An average of 827,000 metro viewers tuned in to watch Australian actor Luke Jacobz named winner of Seven’s Dancing With The Stars: All Stars on Sunday night.

The finale episode of the program was watched by 802,000 metro viewers, jumping to 827,000 for the winner announcement, making it the highest rating episode of the 2021 season.

It was also the top-rating entertainment program of the night and helped Seven to a 31.2% share and a nightly win. Nine managed 29.1%, as Ten took 18.6% and the ABC managed 13.0%.

Lego Masters continued to bring in solid numbers for Nine, as 715,000 metro viewers watched the Mission to Mars challenge culminate in a team being eliminated. The program also won all three key advertising demos.

Meanwhile, a challenge involving a hologram of Nigella Lawson saw 527,000 metro viewers tune in to Ten’s MasterChef Australia.

ABC’s Spicks and Specks also made the top 10 programs for the night, with 444,000 metro viewers watching the music quiz show on Sunday.

Seven’s nightly win was also assisted by the strong performance of its Anzac Day AFL coverage, with Collingwood’s win over Essendon watched by 668,000 metro viewers. The match was attended by 78,113 people, making it the most-attended sporting event globally since the pandemic began.

It was easily the top sporting coverage on Sunday, with 289,000 metro viewers watching the Roosters smash the Dragons in Nine’s NRL Anzac Day clash.

Seven News – Sunday was the #1 program overall, with 1.168 million metro viewers.

Looking back at the past week’s ratings, Nine just pipped Seven to a network win for the week ending Saturday, 24 April, with a 28.9% share. Seven took 28.5%, with Ten on 18.6% and the ABC with 16.2%.

Nine also won the primary channel share battle, with 21.2% ahead of Seven’s 19.7%, ABC’s 11.7% and Ten’s 11.5%.

The most-watched program for the week was the Married At First Sight reunion/finale, which delivered an average of 1.398 million metro viewers on 18 April, making it the top rating program of 2021 to date.

The #1 multi-channel last week was 10BOLD, with its 3.8% just beating 7mate’s 3.7% across the week.
