Dancing aprons cook up a feast in new Ikea ad

Enchanted dancing aprons feature in the latest instalment of Ikea’s ‘The best day is everyday’ campaign.

Created by The Monkeys, the ad sees a group of magical aprons preparing meals in a kitchen, grabbing ingredients with their strings and dancing around together.

The new ad is the third since The Monkeys unveiled Ikea’s new brand platform by animating household objects and give them personality.

When the campaign first launched, Scott Nowell, co-founder and executive creative director at The Monkeys said in a statement: “Telling more of a story around Ikea products creates a memorable way to stand out in the retail space and continues the Ikea mission to help Australians rediscover the happiness in everyday life at home.”

A second piece of work revealed a day in the life of a sheepskin rug couple and their pet stool.
