Darren Woolley hands over reins of Trinity P3 in Australia to concentrate on US and UK
One of the most outspoken characters in the marketing industry, Darren Woolley, is stepping back from the helm of marketing consultancy Trinity P3 in Australia to concentrate on growing the business in the UK and US.
Woolley founded the consultancy in 2000 after a career in creative agencies including JWT and Grey, and has built the business out beyond pitch consultancy to wider capabilities around media and marketing strategies.
The announcement today sees Nathan Hodges take over at the helm of the local operations as managing director, with David Angell taking the role of general manager, and Lydia Feely stepping up as managing director of its Evalu8ing platform, which measures agency capabilities.
In an open letter, Woolley wrote: “Earlier this year we launched a successful joint venture in the UK and we are now looking at the opportunities to replicate this success in the USA. This means the time has come for me to focus on these markets and take the TrinityP3 brand and innovation global.”
He added: ” Marketing is undergoing significant transformation and this is an opportunity for TrinityP3 to support this transformation around the world.”
Woolley has been outspoken about many of the issues facing the creative and media industry in Australia and further, including scam advertising, media transparency and, most recently, claims around a conflict of interest for marketer industry body the AANA by having media agencies as members.
He is also a prolific content marketer, regularly writing blog posts and creating videos for the Trinity P3 website.
I’m sure the UK and the US will be delighted to have such a talent in their midst.
