Data Creative names ex-Publicis digital boss Matt Bates as CMO
Personalised video start-up Data Creative has appointed former Publicis head of digital, Matt Bates, as its chief marketing officer.
The agency, which creates personalised videos based on customer databases, has also named Matt Merryfull, ex-chief technology officer at Emotive, as chief product officer.
Founded in 2015, the agency has also announced a number of new clients including Amnesty International, NAB, Personalised Plates Queensland, Dodo, TAB Corp, Daikin Australia and New Zealand, Melbourne University and the Geelong Football Club.
Renece Brewster, founder of the agency, said the appointments come at a time when personalised video marketing is poised for mass adoption and marked a new phase of growth for the business.
“Matt Bates and Matt Merryfull both have successful foundation careers in the technology sector across software and platform development, plus valuable marketing and advertising industry experience, and will be instrumental in the next phase of Data Creative’s journey,” Brewster said.
Data Creative has also been named as one of 15 startups to represent Australia at the EY 2017 Asia Pacific Accelerating Entrepreneur program in Rome.
