David Jones celebrates Christmas with ‘Gifts that Wow’
While Westfield and Myer have focused on the power of giving in their respective Christmas campaigns, David Jones has focused more on the gifts themselves with the campaign’s tagline saying it all: “Christmas Gifts that Wow”.
The commercial features the new face of David Jones, model Jessica Gomes who replaced Miranda Kerr in March this year, dancing and posing against a white background while a collection of gifts rain down behind her. She wears a dress in David Jones colours.
The work was created by New York based agency Chandelier.
Whybin TBWA won the David Jones creative account from M&C Saatchi in July.
so TBWA won the account in July but the work was produced by an agency in New York?

I agree with Adam. You would think that now, more than ever would be a time where both Myer and DJs need to be bold, not bland. They deserve their fate if they continue to be so uninspiring.

I think poor Jessica is capable of more expressions apart from the open mouth which happens at least 13 times in the add. Today I walked past DJs and on to Myers because I find the advertising so bad I couldn’t face the possibility of seeing a red lipped opened mouth oster in the store .
