David Lee steps down as Nuffnang MD, replaced by Felicity Grey

Felcity GreyThe managing director of Australia’s largest blogger advertising community Nuffnang, David Lee, has stepped down.

A co-founder of  Nuffnang Australia, Lee will remain a shareholder in the blogger network which has offices in Singapore, Malaysia, China, Thailand and the Philippines but will be replaced by Felicity Grey as its new managing director beginning this week.

“I’m confident Felicity’s enthusiasm, creativity and strategic thinking will assist Nuffnang to progress strong business development opportunities, further increase the strength and power of our blogging community and drive new blogging products to market,”  said Lee.

“She will be empowered to take Nuffnang’s business to its next stage of the growth cycle.”

Lee’s departure from the day-to-day running of Nuffnang comes just days after the loss of one of Nuffnang’s biggest bloggers Katrina Springer, who runs The Organised Housewife, to rival blogger talent agency The Remarkables Group.

Both Nuff Nang and The Remarkable work with bloggers and brands to help them monetise their blogs.

Grey said the blogger defection had nothing to do with Lee’s departure from management.

“Bloggers move around and will never stay in the one spot, they are all finding their feet and what works for them,” she said. “We will be announcing some new talent soon and I think that’s the life of the industry.”

“David is very entrepreneurial and I don’t think it will take him long to find a new project, but he has a young family and just wanted to take some time away,” said Grey.

Grey is a public relations professional who founded The Theory Crew PR agency and has previously worked for Deasil Management Group and the Department of Sustainability and Environment.

“Our focus for 2014 will be to work more closely with our blogging community to discover new and innovative products we can offer to market,” she said.

“We’ll be reaching out to the Nuffnang blogging community for their input so Nuffnang continues to grow and offer Australian brands the best blogging campaigns in the market.”
