Public relations firms DEC has won the Sydney Airport public relations account.

The announcement:

Full service public relations agency, DEC Communications (DEC) has been appointed by Sydney Airport to handle corporate and consumer communications activity for its Retail offering.

Targeting Australian and international travellers, DEC PR will drive awareness of Sydney Airport as a world-class retail destination. The program will highlight the extensive choice and value offered across a unique mix, including Australian and Travel Retail ‘firsts’, of 200 stores featuring luxury brands, concept stores, gifts, food, convenience and duty-free.

The PR strategy will also underpin the Airport’s expansion plans and continued retail growth by working closely with the leasing team to promote unique tenancies due in 2013 and 2014.

Additionally, DEC will help drive content for and promotion of Sydney Airport’s new glossy magazine, published quarterly, called COMPANION.

Natalie Cameron at DEC PR, recently promoted to Head of Corporate and celebrating three years with the Agency, will spearhead the account.
