delicious. serves up record audience numbers for May

New Corp Australia’s food and lifestyle publication delicious. has delivered its largest-ever digital audience in May, with close to 1.7 million Australians visiting the site during the month.

This is according to the latest rankings from Ipsos iris, which shows delicious.com.au scored 1.696 million unique visitors for the month, up 34.3% from April. The website had 17 million total page views during May, extending its reach by 35.79% since January.\

The site saw a 82% leap in its 14-24 year-old audience, and a 36% increase in its audience of 25-39 year-olds – the largest demographic group for the brand, at 26.12%.

Editorial director of delicious., Kerrie McCallum, said focusing of the changing needs of Australian consumers was key to growing the audience.

“To address the cost-of-living pressures Australians are facing we set out to provide our audience with recipes from quick and healthy midweek meals through to desserts designed for effortless entertaining at home,” McCallum said.

Travel content has been increased following the resurgence of international getaways, resulting in a 24% uptick in search traffic month-on-month to this section of the site. Content around the coronation of King Charles III and Mother’s Day also did well for the publication.

The return of the month-long Month Out event to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide in May helped further bolster numbers.

“It was the most successful campaign to-date, exceeding all of our metrics, including more than doubling the number of visitors to the site section year-on-year,” McCallum said.

“To reach a premium food audience of 1.696 million Australians is a testament to the work of the entire delicious. team. We are way ahead of our competitors and thrilled with the results.”
