Deloitte hires McCann’s Charles Baylis as creative director
Business management consultancy Deloitte has hired Charles Baylis as a creative director at the consultancy’s new creative, brand and media offering.
Baylis, who was formerly a senior copywriter at McCann for for nearly two years, joins Deloitte eight months after the company raided McCann Melbourne for top talent to launch its creative and media offering.
In September last year, Deloitte poached McCann Melbourne’s managing director Adrian Mills; head of strategy and media, David Phillips; executive creative director Matt Lawson and digital media lead Justine Mills.
Deloitte states Baylis is the world’s third best copywriter as ranked by the Big Won report.
Mills said in a statement: “It’s great to be working with Chuck again. He’s an abnormally talented writer, strategic thinker and all round commercial creative. Our clients have an increasing thirst for creativity across their physical and digital experience. It’s exciting to collide the world’s best creative talent with the discipline of the world’s biggest professional services firm.”
Baylis has previously worked at Y&R, Shock Entertainment and BBC Worldwide and worked on campaigns including the University of Melbourne’s ‘Made Possible By Melbourne’ and YMCA’s ‘Playnasium’.
“The work that Deloitte do is world-changing. With so many incredible clients, the opportunity to deliver creative that can have impact on a truly global scale is unbelievably exciting,” Baylis added.
Chuck left McCann in 2017.
It’s the same press release everywhere.
