The announcement:

Melbourne design agency Yello Brands has officially opened its doors as Designworks Melbourne, in response to increased client demands within the Asia-Pacific marketplace.

The merger represents another step for the Designworks Group towards realising its ambition to be a truly Australasian business.

Designworks Group CEO, Sven Baker said that the two agencies have worked closely together for several years and share a passion for transforming businesses through exceptional design.

“Our whole focus is on designing the most successful down under brands in the world. This partnership is another step in helping us achieve this ambition,” commented Baker.

Heading up the Designworks Melbourne team will be Stephanie Gasperini, newly appointed as General Manager, who was previously CEO of design agencies Insight Creative and Origin Design.

Baker continued: “Stephanie has extensive experience in the industry and her contribution will be invaluable. The appointment underlines our commitment to ensuring this move will be a successful one.”

Gasperini replaces Guy Vasey, Yello’s Founding Director and General Manager, who has taken on a group role at Designworks, New Zealand.

Vasey commented: “This is a significant step for us and for our clients. We have built a talented team over the years and shared a similar vision with Designworks. Now, our offer becomes greater with access to an exceptional level of experience from the Designworks Group that includes dedicated, specialist digital and spatial divisions.”
