Developer Assemble Communities adds new marketing talent

Assemble Communities has made multiple key hires, including the appointment of Rebecca Shackleton as its new director – relationships and marketing.

She is one of 15 hires made since March this year by the Melbourne-based build-to-rent developer, despite Victoria being in lockdown for extended periods during that time.

Shackleton joins Assemble with over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing, having worked with leading developers Satterley and Stockland.

Also coming on board is Maggie McKeand, who is the company’s new community engagement and partnership manager, and she’ll work to reinforce the developer’s commitment to purposeful community engagement.

There have also been hires across development, operations, marketing and commitments, communications, community engagement, partnerships, finance, placemaking and experience and publishing divisions.

The new hires grow the Assemble Communities team to 35, with an injection of expertise that will bolster Assemble’s position as a leading build to rent developer focused on social and affordable housing.

Assemble has also launched a dedicated partnerships division, headed up by partnerships director Tom Billings.
