Online marketing agency dgm has appointed Philip Cross to head up its SEO team.
SYDNEY, 21 MARCH 2012: Online marketing agency dgm has appointed Philip Cross to the role of Head of SEO, managing the team and working on strategy across all dgm clients including Accor Hotels, Suncorp and Unicef.
Cross joins dgm from Steak Digital in the UK, where he was director of SEO responsible for European SEO strategy for Expedia. Cross also helped developed the company’s best practice approach to SEO and conducted training across the team, as well as business development responsibility. Prior to this he was senior search manager at Tamar, and before that, had commenced his career as a search executive at Steak.
John Matthews, dgm general manager, said marketers are becoming more aware of the importance of search engine optimisation as a strategic marketing tool, and Cross’s experience in applying SEO to a client’s online assets – including video, infographics and banners – would help to speed uptake of SEO best practice.

At dgm, Cross will manage the SEO team, and reports to Head of Search, Cem Bali.
