Diana Costantini to head ABC TV marketing

Diana Costantini, currently creative director of broadcast branding agency Tactic Creative Services, has been named as the new Head of ABC TV Marketing.

ABC TV director Kim Dalton said: “Di has done some exceptionally creative and successful branding and promotion work in the multi-channel environment. She will bring this expertise and background to ABC TV at a time when we are moving to a more focused and differentiated branding approach to our suite of channels. Di will be a great addition to the ABC TV senior management team at this time of change.”

Costantini started her career at Channel 10 in Brisbane before relocating to New Zealand in 1991, to take up a promo producer/director role with TV3 Network.

She then moved to TVNZ, heading up the on-air promo team as Program Marketing Manager for TV2 before returning to Australia as creative director for XYZ Entertainment.

She also worked in New York as creative director for Global Media Holdings working on channels distributed in Japan.

She set up Tactic in 1999, which was nominated for 21 awards at this year’s Promax/BDA Awards, including several for work on the branding of ABC3.

She said: “It’s really a thrilling time to be joining such a dynamic and progressive organisation.”

Costantini takes over as Head of Marketing from Sue Lester, who is retiring after 20 years at ABC TV.
