Digital agency wins Triple M radio show competition

Digital agency Subtitle has won Triple M’s Semi Pro Radio competition which saw creatives competing to create a two-hour pilot radio programme.    Subtitle went up against 11 finalists out of a total of 40 entries. Together with the other finalists the agency recorded and aired its two-hour radio show on Austereo’s Triple M during September and October.

Its entry, The Day Before The Day Before Tomorrow, was recorded as a radio play in front of a live studio audience, which was then broadcast on the radio station.

Austereo head of content, Guy Dobson, said the entries came from both big and smaller agencies such as Subtitle. “We were impressed by Subtitle’s modern take on the classic radio play. It was entertaining and unique and exactly what we were looking for,” he said.

The radio network added however that whether or not the competition would return next year was “still to be determined”.

Subtitle was awarded a cash prize of $5,000 as well as a $30,000 advertising package on the Triple M network.
