The announcement:

dmg Radio announced the appointments of David McGrath as Digital Commercial Operations Director and Angus Stevens as Digital Content and Product Director across the Nova, smoothfm and digital media brands including ShopperNova and Rdio.

McGrath brings a wealth of digital experience to dmg, having led the integration of Yahoo!7’s news and sport products, before managing Telstra’s key multimillion dollar media assets across AFL, NRL, V8’s and horse racing across online, mobile, tablet and IPTV platforms.

“dmg Radio is one of Australia’s most exciting media companies, with a strong brand, loyal audience and appetite to deliver innovation across emerging technologies. We will bring advertisers closer than ever to our growing audience, wherever they are listening, watching, reading or sharing our entertainment content,” said McGrath.

Angus Stevens’ expertise lies in managing teams to create award winning, content properties and campaigns that traverse digital, TV and radio platforms. He’s received both local and international recognition for his work with companies such as Carlton Draught, Campari, Swiss Tourism, Planet 24 (UK) and Southern Cross Austereo.

Stevens said, “dmg Radio is one of Australia’s most dynamic media companies. Building on the current success and with a great team in place, we’ll be looking to expand our audience, give our clients an even stronger integrated offering and drive increased revenue through dmg’s digital properties. Personally, I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

These appointments continue dmg Radio’s digital expansion, as the business continues to innovate nationally and capitalise on the growing online and mobile advertising market, as well as high growth e-commerce and early stage investment opportunities that exist in the new media sector.

Emily Rayner, dmg Group Digital Director said, “The combination of David and Angus heading up the key functions of the digital business sets us up for even greater success in 2014 as we continue to lead the charge, providing innovative and engaging content and commercial solutions for our audiences and clients on multiple platforms and devices.”
