Dimetapp launches sequel to recruitment campaign

Dimetapp has launched its sequel to its Ultra Plus cold and flu recruitment campaign which kicked off in August last year.

Created by Matterhorn Communications, the campaign draws on last year’s job interview where the candidate was dressed in a Dimetapp box, this year the Dimetapp box is seen sitting down for his performance review.

The campaign aims to push the brand’s liquid relief from cold and flu symptoms which also support immune Health.

Ashok Murthy, Marketing manager of respiratory, ANZ, said in a statement: “The launch of Dimetapp Ultra Plus has been hugely successful for Pfizer. It was voted by Nicolas Hall the 2nd best OTC new product launch in the Asia Pacific region, the brand grew by 25% and the popular Packman character has helped consumer consumption increase by 67%.

“This year challenges include maintaining the momentum in Australia as well as launching the product in New Zealand. Packman has a big job ahead, but we know he’s up to it.”

Matt Kemsley, co-founder of Matterhorn, adds: “The Packman character clearly resonates with consumers.

“When he speaks they listen, so our challenge was to develop this brand icon to allow him to continue explaining the unique product benefits of Dimetapp Ultra Plus in Pharmacy, in Grocery and now in New Zealand.”
