Dad’s never ending wallet focus of DDB NZ ad for Westpac

Director Tim Bullock is behind a new DDB NZ television commercial which features an apparently bottomless parental wallet.

“Hand Outs’” the new installment in DDB’s ‘Start Asking’ campaign for Westpac NZ, which puts the spotlight on the retiree market which continues to supplement their heirs’ incomes.

The ad is directed by Bullock  who is best known for his light comedic touch.

Michael Healy, Westpac senior brand manager, said in a press release: “Although the ‘sandwiched’ generation should be enjoying a higher disposable income as they are more likely to be mortgage free and looking forward to their retirement, they find themselves handing out just as much as ever.”

“We can help ‘the bank of mum and dad’ get their finances in order so they can still help their family from time to time, but also ensure they have their own future financially secure.”
