Discovery Parks and Triple M team up for summer cricket broadcast

Discovery Parks has teamed with Triple M as its naming rights partner for the summer cricket broadcast (2023-24).

The announcement:

Summer holidays and cricket on the radio – it’s an Aussie cultural institution and it’s being brought to life like never before as Discovery Parks teams up with Triple M as naming rights partner for its broadcast of the 2023-24 summer of cricket.

Off the back of a World Cup win and World Test Championship triumph, Australia’s men’s cricket team can expect a hero’s welcome when they arrive back home for a five Test Matches and two short-format series against the West Indies and Pakistan.

The partnership will see Discovery Parks front of mind as listeners take in the action during iconic Aussie summer moments, including the Boxing Day Test and Sydney’s Pink Test at the start of January.

Discovery Parks will also feature across Triple M’s podcast platforms on LiSTNR, including Willow Talk hosted by Adam Peacock and former Australian wicket-keeper Brad Haddin.

Discovery Parks chief marketing officer Lahnee White said the partnership brings together two institutions of summer and will help fast-track brand awareness over the holiday season.

“Cricket is at the heart of Australian summers and a time when people are actively tuned into their radios listening to Triple M’s ball-by-ball broadcasts,” Lahnee said.

“This is another example of a strategic media partnership designed to that fast-track brand frame and expose our Discovery Parks brand to an engaged, national audience at a time when holidays are front of mind.”

“With 87 locations around Australia, we want Discovery Parks to be synonymous with the Aussie summer holiday, just as cricket on the radio is.”

As part of the partnership, Discovery Parks will feature prominently on air across three Test Matches against Pakistan, and two Tests and three One-Day Internationals against the West Indies. Discovery Parks will also be integrated into Triple M Cricket’s national summer marketing campaign, which goes live on Monday 27 November with audio, out-of-home and AV assets.
