DMG appoints former Universal label manager Jocelin Abbey

Radio network DMG Radio Australia has appointed Jocelin Abbey to the newly created role of music marketing and solutions director.

The announcement:

Wednesday 18th Jan 2012 – dmg Radio Australia has appointed Jocelin Abbey to the role of Music Marketing & Solutions Director

In this newly created position, Jocelin will be responsible for building music ideas and solutions for client’s brands and also developing and managing dmg’s music marketing calendar.

With dmg’s significant footprint in the music industry, there is an opportunity to leverage the relationships with labels, artists, and promoters to deliver commercial opportunities that fit the needs of our advertisers and our own brands.

Said Tony Thomas Group Marketing Director “The importance of music content to dmg from a commercial, product and marketing perspective is significant and as a result we have decided to appoint a Music Marketing & Solutions Director.  The role will focus on developing revenue opportunities from music artists & events and will also manage our music marketing calendar”

The role will report into the Group Program Director and Group Marketing Director and will work closely with our internal ideas agency, DMG Create, and the sales teams nationally.

Jocelin previously worked at dmg for 6 years in various roles including Music Marketing and Integration Manager.  Jocelin left in early 2010 to take on the role of Label Manager at Universal Music Australia where she was responsible for maximising both branding and sales for artists and releases, across all formats.

Jocelin has a great knowledge of dmg plus her relationships with all the labels, managers, promoters and artists are second to none.

Jocelin commences her role at dmg Radio Australia on February 6th
