Destination NSW partners with Universal Music Australia for Bring’s Artist & Brand Summit

The NSW Government has partnered with Universal Music Australia to present the inaugural Artist & Brand Summit by Bring, as part of Vivid Sydney 2022.

As part of Vivid Sydney 2022, the NSW Government will partner with Universal Music Australia (part of Universal Music Group, the world’s leading music-based entertainment company) to present the inaugural BRING Artist & Brand Summit, uniting industry leaders to focus on the future of music marketing.

Supported by the NSW Government via Destination NSW, Universal Music Australia’s (UMA) curated line-up of Australia’s top music marketers will join with artists to explore what it means to make meaningful connections through music to deliver ownable cultural moments and drive engagement.

Taking place on Thursday, June 2, at the Overseas Passenger Terminal, the exclusive free afternoon of collaboration, conversation and phenomenal music moments will unpack the theme, Know Your Voice in Music hosted by media personality Ash London. Confirmed are a range of artists including Meg Mac, Baker Boy, Tom Cardy, Tigerlily, Young Franco, Hauskey, and NZ international artist Drax Project.

BRING, the music brand and marketing arm of Universal Music Group Australia, is inviting top music marketers and artists from across the country to Sydney for an exclusive day of creativity, industry-curated events and conversation on the future of music marketing.

Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said hosting the BRING Artist & Brand Summit further enhanced Sydney’s reputation as the creative industries hub of the Asia Pacific.

Mr Ayres said: “The inaugural BRING Artist & Brand Summit will provide invaluable opportunities for creative collaboration and future thinking for music in Sydney, consolidating and extending Sydney’s identity as a cultural and creative industries hub,”

“With the live music industry in recovery, the timing of the inaugural summit offers an unparalleled opportunity to draw on the broad range of music and marketing talent”.

“This event will be industry-led and curated and champion thought-leadership. We look forward to supporting artists in this unique networking and professional development opportunity.”

Adam Ireland, General Manager, BRING added: “Recent times have given the creative industries an opportunity to innovate and accelerate new ways of thinking about true collaboration with brands. This first-of-its-kind event is designed to bring artists and brands together on a level playing field to understand each other’s needs and create meaningful conversation around what it means to Know your Voice in Music.”

The one-day event will host up to 500 guests, including UMA’S extensive industry network of artists, songwriters, record labels, promoters, and brands, followed by artist showcase.

Presenting partners include – Destination NSW, Spotify, American Express, KIA, Vevo, The Brag Media, EA Games, The A League and TEG with program support from Yamaha, Carlton United Breweries, UNBND and Studio Messa.

Members of the public will also have the opportunity to attend and interact with some of Australia’s most respected and well-loved artists in an intimate live environment, with limited tickets available by ballot.
