Domino’s uses Summer fail compilation as part of ‘Official Pizza of Summer’ ad

Domino’s Australia has debuted its ‘The Official Pizza of Summer’ campaign which includes pizza toppings and a fail compilation.

The 35 second ad sees people get hit with a cricket ball while playing backyard cricket and splitting an inflatable pool after jumping into it.


Domino’s Australia’s Summer campaign aims to remind Australians it is there for every event, including “Christmas party regret”, “the Summer fling that won’t call you back” and when “your thongs experience a blowout”.

The ad was created by Elevencom.

Don Meij, Domino’s Groups CEO and MD, said the ad aims to capture different memories and moments in life.

“This Summer Domino’s is looking forward to being part of the unforgettable spirit of Summer and giving Aussie’s the most delicious and biggest menu ever.”

The new campaign comes four months after Domino’s appointed Melody Livingstone as its local chief marketing officer.

Meanwhile, in February last year the pizza chain acquired its print production partner IPG Connect.

After the acquisition, Domino’s merged the business with its in-house marketing services business, Direct Impact Marketing (DIM).
