Don revamps Dish of the Day series facilitated by Suits & Sneakers

George Weston Foods’ brand Don Smallgoods has launched a new campaign for the Dish of the Day content series.

Suits & Sneakers facilitated the end to end campaign content, which was created by freelance talent.

Don’s Dish of the Day series launched a year ago. The latest in the series, facilitated by Suits & Sneakers, features chefs using Don Smallgoods’ products to explain their relationship between the food they cook and their story. Hosted by Benjie, each episode contains a recipe created by the chefs for the series.

One of the first videos in the revamped series features chef Simon Cosentino, co-owner of Via Porta, celebrating his Italian heritage with his family through his cooking.

Another in the new series sees chef Nornie Bero from Mabu Mabu cook Island Pancakes and discuss the importance of food and community.

A year ago, Suits & Sneakers changed its business structure to a facilitator model, whereby Suits & Sneakers provides clients with pre-approved talent. For this campaign, Suits & Sneakers facilitated the content creation process, supervised the workflow, and managed the key milestones.

Speaking to Mumbrella, Anne Miles, managing director at Suits & Sneakers, said the campaigns using this business model run “50% – 60% cheaper, with better people” than agency campaigns, according to her clients.

The campaign will be on TV, social, digital, and out-of-home, with media managed by Principal Media Group.
