Doordash taps MAFS ad breaks via Howatson + Co and Wavemaker
Delivery platform Doordash has dedicated its Married at First Sight (MAFS) ad breaks to nine real Australians with messages of love to deliver on national television.
Creative for the campaign was handled by Howatson + Company, while Group M’s Wavemaker led media.
As a major sponsor of Nine’s tentpole reality program, the Doordash spots will feature throughout the season, which commenced yesterday, January 30.
Featuring on-air declarations of true love, from a first time ‘I love you’, to a marriage proposal, the campaign celebrates “real love”, despite the not-always-so-happy endings on MAFS itself.
The first spot to take the air features a young woman named Yasmin, delivers a message to ‘Andre’, announcing that she loves him. The remaining eight spots will continue to rollout throughout the MAFS season.
Rebecca Burrows, DoorDash Australia general manager, said: “We have searched the country high and low to seek out beautiful love stories and give these nine very special people a chance to share their love, appreciation and big romantic gestures with a national TV audience.
“We made a promise to always deliver more to your door and with our customers at the heart of everything we do, we felt that our partnership with MAFS was the perfect moment to raise the bar and provide an opportunity for everyday Australians to declare their love to those that matter most.”
In addition to the TV spots, Doordash will be offering delivery promotions to its customers every week, during MAFS episodes.
Doordash also has a creative partnership with Cummins & Partners, which Mumbrella understands is ongoing since the agency’s appoint in 2021.
