Down Under Tours announces brand evolution via john+john design

Down Under Tours is evolving its brand in an effort “to highlight its position as the premium touring and coach transport experts across Cairns and Tropical North Queensland”, with help from john+john design.

The announcement:

Down Under Tours, part of the AAT Kings Group and a prominent member of The Travel Corporation (TTC) family of brands, has announced an exciting brand evolution, marking the first significant update since its inception in 1990.

Historically, Down Under Tours has been the leader in connecting travellers with the breathtaking landscapes and vibrant cultures of Cairns and Tropical North Queensland. The evolution of the brand aims to highlight its position as the premium touring and coach transport experts across Cairns and Tropical North Queensland, while underscoring the pillars of its success: its experts, its fleet and its positive impacts.

Key highlights of the brand evolution, which was spearheaded in-house in collaboration with john+john design, include a sleek new logo design, innovative marketing assets, refreshed uniforms, and new coach livery. Central to the new logo is a dynamic point motif element, symbolising movement, connection, and the forward-thinking ethos of Down Under Tours. This visual represents the business’s dedication to providing guests with seamless travel experiences and forging meaningful connections between destinations, people, and culture.

“The Down Under Tours brand has a long history of connecting guests to Cairns and Tropical North Queensland through our people, destination, and experiences we offer,” says Erin Simpson, general manager of Down Under Tours. “We are thrilled to unveil our new and refreshed branding, the first significant design update since 2007. Down Under Tours has been working hard to reimagine the way we operate, connect with the community and the world around us, from this week you’ll start to see a new look, appearing across our platforms.”

Sustainability and creating a positive impact on their region and environment is a key pillar for Down Under Tours. On their recently released Waterfall, Wetlands & Skyrail tour, guests can connect with this ethos on a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience. Down Under Tours is excited to announce more tours including MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experiences in the future.

By partnering with the TreadRight Foundation’s initiative which supports Rainforest Rescue’s Daintree project, Down Under Tours is actively contributing to environmental conservation efforts, aligning with its ethos of responsible travel. The team themselves will be volunteering with Rainforest Rescue for their Annual Community Tree Planting Day on the 18th of May.
