Clemenger BBDO growth director Charmaine Griffith exits for Think HQ
Charmaine Griffith, Think HQ's new head of growth
Clemenger BBDO growth director Charmaine Griffith has become the latest senior figure to exit the agency, joining Think HQ as its new business head.
Griffith will lead growth at Melbourne-based Think HQ, focusing on expanding its client base in NSW, where the agency recently added Cancer Council Australia, Stride Mental Health and Raising Children Network.
She spent the last two years at Clemenger, initially joining its media arm, Chep Network, before its merger into the broader agency earlier this year.
Writing on Linkedin last week, Griffith said: “I first joined CHEP in 2023 during a period of huge growth and was lucky to be part of some amazing wins and partnerships, including Bupa, the University of Sydney, and Tourism NT.
“This year brought a new chapter with the integration of CHEP, Clemenger and Traffik – and the chance to work with even more great clients like Uniqlo, Kmart, Colorbond and New Balance across all capabilities. It’s been a privilege to work alongside some of the best in the business and to build lasting connections along the way.”
Meanwhile, Clemenger BBDO Lee Leggett described Griffith as a “brilliant member of our team for the past two years”.
“While we are sad to see her leave, we are excited for her as she pursues this new career opportunity. We wish her all the very best,” Leggett added.
Mumbrella understands Griffith’s responsibilities are currently being handled by Clemenger’s leadership team.
Her departure follows other recent exits from Clemenger BBDO, including strategy lead Simon Wassef, executive creative director Ant Phillips and head of brand and communications Lindsay Bennett.
Vinne Schifferstein Vidal, managing director of Clemenger’s production arm Made This, also resigned this month after two years.
Prior to Clemenger, Griffith was growth director at VML Australia and New Zealand and held roles at PWC and OMD.
“Think HQ has built something rare — an agency that solves complex problems for major clients while staying true to their values,” she said. “That’s good growth, and exactly what I want to scale in NSW and nationally.”
Griffith’s appointment follows that of Sarah Wood, who joined in August as the newly created Sydney director.

Think HQ’s Sarah Wood and Jen Sharpe
Think HQ founder and managing director Jen Sharpe said Griffith’s appointment “reflects the strength of our ambition in NSW, and nationally”.
“From the first conversation, it was clear she truly understands our unique strengths in the market, and brings a proven ability to lead growth in complex, integrated environments. I’m looking forward to working together to bring Think HQ’s positive change approach to more clients and communities across Australia,” Sharpe added.
