DR MUMBO: Mia Twitters; behind the scenes at the news; Underbelly ad angst

Dr Mumbo is delighted to welcome Mia Freedman to the world of Twitter – and it’s all thanks to her pals at Droga5.  

The former Cosmo editor, who now occasionally works with the start up ad agency, Twittered (of course): “Beautiful dinner last night at Droga. Appreciated my Twitter101 education. Ready to rock and roll.”

Underbelly may have delivered a record audience, but the viewers don’t appreciate the ads. One writes to the letters page of the Sydney Morning Herald today: “The programme started 12 minutes late (we all know why) at 8.42pm and finished at 10.38pm, a total of 116 minutes. During this period, 81 advertisements were shown. Is it any wonder people are getting sick of commercial television?”
