Good old Telstra certainly knows how to offer a great deal, as this picture on the right demonstrates.

AFR marketing journalist Neil Shoebridge is a legend among his rivals, not only for his prolific output, but for the fact that he can rarely be spotted at media events. (Mumbrella understands that some know him as “the eternal flame” because he never goes out.) But woe betide any PR who attempts to give him a story during his summer holiday. His email out-of-office autoreply sternly warns: “Please, no calls to my mobile from PR companies; no exceptions.” Happily he’ll be back on deck at the end of next week.

With Steve Jobs today stepping back from Apple til June because of a serious illness, it’s probably not a good look to serve ads against the story announcing “Jobs become obsolete, talent doesn’t”, really, is it?
