Former Australian Radio Network Brisbane breakfast radio host, Robin Bailey, will join Southern Cross Austereo’s Triple M Network in Brisbane next year.

Robin Bailey joins Triple M in Brisbane
Last month, Bailey departed from ARN’s 97.3FM, claiming she was “ambushed” by the network’s decision not to renew her contract after a decade with the station.
ARN has disputed the statement saying despite a “long” negotiation with Bailey’s management they were “led into a position where we were unable to proceed with contract renewal”.

Bailey will join Brisbane’s 104.5FM breakfast team’s Greg Martin and Ed Kavalee, launching the new show of Marto, Ed & Robin.
On joining Triple M, Bailey said: “When Triple M offered me a role, I jumped at the chance. To join Marto & Ed for breakfast is a dream come true. It means I will be able to continue to do what I love most, broadcasting to the people of Brisbane. I’m really looking forward to this great new challenge.
“Of course it will be slightly different to what I’ve done before, but I’m very much looking forward to being a part of the Ed and Marto show.
“I love rock music, I’ve been a sneaky listener of Triple M for years. Bring on more Cold Chisel I say!”
Southern Cross Austereo’s Brisbane general manager, Damon Rielly ,said: “After hearing about Robin’s sudden departure from her previous breakfast commitments, we jumped at the opportunity to have her join Triple M’s breakfast show in 2017.
“Robin loves Brisbane and loves her rock and I can’t wait for Brisbane to wake up to Marto, Ed and Robin next year to start the day finding out what matters in Brisbane.”
According to the most recent radio ratings, Triple M’s breakfast show had an audience share of 8.7% while 97.3FM had a share of 12.2%.
