Ebay’s CMO, Julie Nestor, becomes Hilton’s APAC VP of marketing and e-commerce

Julie Nestor, formerly Ebay’s chief marketing officer, has become Hilton’s vice president of marketing and e-commerce across the Asia Pacific region.

In her new role, Nestor will be responsible for the region’s marketing and e-commerce strategy, driving growth in direct bookings and attracting new customers to Hilton’s brand portfolio.

At Ebay, Nestor was tasked with maintaining the marketplace’s position as number one in the country and launching its first membership program, Ebay Plus. Prior to her time at Ebay, Nestor spent almost 10 years at American Express, where she launched the first Apple Pay service in Australia.

“With a large portfolio of award-winning brands, Hilton is on a huge growth trajectory with so much potential in the region. I am proud to be part of a team that strives to bring to life the outstanding experiences and spirit of the Hilton brand to our guests,” said Nestor.

“As we look towards 2020, I will be focused on driving demand for our properties and working with the team to position Hilton as the hotel of choice, especially in our key destinations.”

Kellyn Smith Kenny, Hilton’s CMO, added that Nestor will bring a fresh perspective to the company.

“Today’s consumers have rapidly evolving needs and expectations that Hilton is uniquely positioned to fulfil. As we accelerate our growth across Asia Pacific, we’re expanding our guest base with breakthrough marketing,” she said.

“Julie is a proven expert at building brands that customers love and I’m confident she will bring a fresh perspective that builds on our success and inspires guests to stay with Hilton’s nine brands.”
