Eddie McGuire plans move into TV drama
Presenter, producer, sports commentator and the face of Nine and Foxtel’s 2012 Olympic coverage, Eddie McGuire, plans to produce drama for Australian television with his production company McGuire Media.
McGuire told Encore: “We want to move into drama for television. We’ve been involved a bit over the years but want to move more into it now.”
McGuire Media currently produces a number of shows for Foxtel’s sports channels and McGuire was personally involved in the commissioning of the first series of Underbelly during his time as CEO of the Nine Network.
“In the last five or six years, drama on television has really come of age or had a second golden era since the ’70s and ’80s. I’ve been mainly involved in sport, news and live television and hopefully with our connections and contacts, and some acumen, we might be able to do some good work with drama,” he said.

QR is a misnomer. Half the apps don’t work properly. So you just get a blank screen. And half the sites you get to, aren’t phone friendly. Wise up QR dudes. When someone arrives via QR they are viewing you on a screen the size of a business card. Not a 21 inch HD desktop screen. Or else get used to QR RIP.
