Eddie scores a trifecta

Eddie McGuire’s ratings glory is continuing with Hot Seat beating Deal or No Deal on Thursday night to give it three consecutive wins this week.

The 5:30 pm game show made the top 15 most watched programmes for Thursday night with 809,000 viewers, according to preliminary OzTam data.

Its rival, Deal or No Deal on Seven pulled in 722,000, a 26,000 increase on Wednesday night’s numbers.

A strong performance from Getaway (1.3m), Nine News (1.3m) and Two and a half men (1.2m) took Nine to a clear ratings win for Thursday night with 27.8% followed by Seven on 24.8%, Ten 19.9%, ABC 15.2% and SBS 12.2%.

Seven’s comedy hour failed to make a dent on the network’s share last night despite TV Burp ratings increasing from 751,000 to 775,000. Double Take at 9pm saw a drop in viewers from 724,000 to 687,000.

But Seven leads the pack into the weekend with 28.5%, Nine on 27%, Ten 21.8%, ABC 15.8% and SBS 6.9% for the week-to-date.
