Edge acquires creative agency Creative Oasis

Content agency Edge has acquired creative agency Creative Oasis to form one independent agency under the Edge banner.

David Stretch, MD of Creative Oasis for the last eight years, will become MD of Edge.

Edge will have over 60 staff across both Sydney and Melbourne.

“I’m hugely excited by the opportunity ahead. Edge’s data-driven digital, social and content capability, blended with CO’s brand creative and retail comms experience, will provide an enormous opportunity to shape an agency that can comprehensively deliver end-to- end,” Stretch said in a statement.

Strategy partner at Edge, Richard Parker said the merger will help consolidate creative with data, tech, media and content to ensure brands stay relevant.

“It’s about delivering big meaningful brand communications alongside highly personalised micro-moments. The approach allows us to relentlessly drive brand relevance – and this merger allows both businesses to work towards this common vision,” Parker said.

Both Edge and Creative Oasis have been working closely together for the past two years, occupy the same office space and have the same shareholders.

Edge’s clients include AAMI, Suncorp, Australia Post, Lendlease and Petbarn while Creative Oasis works with Mitre 10 and Dymocks.

Steve Kulmar, founder of Idea Works and owner of RetailOasis will be the Chairman of the newly formed Edge.

Kulmar said: “Retailers are increasingly seeing the opportunity that data and technology play in delivering value-rich, hyper-relevant customer experiences.

A key part of this opportunity is the challenge to scale from big brand ideas right down to customer-centric, one-to- one content experiences.”
