Foxtel today announced a new partnership with Bauer Media Group to produce one national Foxtel Magazine for Foxtel subscribers.

The August 2013 issue of the entertainment magazine will be the first edition published under the new contract and will feature interviews and in-depth articles on Foxtel programming and innovation, as well as listings and information on Australia’s subscription television channels.

Foxtel Executive Director of Television Brian Walsh said “The Foxtel Magazine is an important part of our communication strategy and we have bold plans for growing the print magazine, as well as moving into the digital arena.

“The international experience, success and publishing leadership of Bauer Media Group will help us achieve our goal of keeping our customers informed and engaged with our range of programming, new technology and the constantly evolving ways to watch Foxtel inside and outside the home.”

Bauer Media Publishing Director Gerry Reynolds said “We are thrilled that Foxtel has chosen to continue our 12-year relationship. Foxtel’s brief to us is to create an exciting entertainment magazine that covers the breadth of its vast and diverse programming. We look forward to working with all parts of the business to deliver a publication that informs and excites subscribers.

“The new, unified circulation makes the magazine a powerhouse for advertisers – and keep watching for exciting creative developments in the title.’’

Mr Walsh said “We would like to thank the great team at Edge Custom Media, who have produced the regional version of the subscriber magazine both under Austar, and over the last twelve months, with Foxtel. However it is important for us to unify our customer communication with one national magazine.”
